UPDATE: The CK District dinner scheduled for Thursday, November 15th, has been canceled
It is quickly coming to that time of the year where we, as a district, honor our volunteers for all the hard work and service to the CK district. The highlight of the evening's program is the announcement of our District Award of Merit recipient. The District Award of Merit is the highest honor that we, as a district, can bestow upon one of our volunteers. We are permitted by the National Council to award one award per 40 units. We will also be awarding the Cubber, Scouter, and Venturer of the year, honoring one volunteer and their services to each of their respective programs.
The theme for the dinner this year will be the 100th anniversary of the Eagle. Guest keynote speakers will highlight their experiences in the Scouting program and how earning the highest rank in Scouting has affected their lives.
The dinner will be held in the Swanson Hall at the Hickory United Methodist Church in Hermitage, PA at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 15th. The cost of the dinner is $10 per person and reservations are due by Thursday, November 8th. More detailed information can be found on the dinner announcement by clicking here.
