Colonel Drake Spring Events

Colonel Drake District Dinner

The District Dinner for Colonel Drake will be celebrated on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the French Creek Production building in Franklin.  This is the same night as Roundtable we are just starting an hour earlier and we will be in the same location.  Each person is asked to bring a dish to share.  The cost for the dinner is $3/person and that covers the cost of the meat and place settings.  The District Committee will be providing the desert.  Please come and celebrate with us as we celebrate the great things that our District has done over the last year.

The Colonel Drake District Derby

Will be held on Sunday March 18th at the Cranberry Mall.  Registration will begin at 12:30 with racing to begin at 2 PM.  The top 5 finishers from each Pack are elgible to race and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 finishers.  New this year will be a "SIster Derby".  Any girl that is Cub Scout age (5-10) is elgible.  They must follow the same rules that the boys are given for thier race.  The entry fee is $5 and payable on the day of racing.

Colonel Drake Spring Camporee

Come to Custaloga Town on Saturday, April 14th and take a step back in time as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Custaloga Town.  We will be working on the Indian Lore and Archaeology Merit badges.  We will have some help from Mercyhurst University and the French Creek Archaeological Socity.  This camporee will have a lot of hands on learning.  Registration will be in the Dinning Hall at 8:30 am.  The Cost is $10 per youth and $3 per adult.  There will be T-shirt orders available at the camporee for $10.  Units may make arrangements through the Off Season Camping site to camp for the entire weekend.

Colonel Drake Cub Olympics

On April 28th we will have the 6th annual Cub Olympics.  This is your packs chance to come out and compete for the Colonel Drake traveling trophy, and if you win you get to host the 2019 Cub Olympics.  The event is being held at the Venango County 4H Fairgrounds.with registration beginning at 8:30 am.  We should have all the events complted and closing ceremony around 2 pm.  If your Pack would like there is Family Camping that will be available on Friday evening after 5 pm.  Units are responsible for providing their own leadership and their own meals.  The cost for the event is $6 per youth and $3 per adult.
