The key aspects of the Venturing program are:

• Service

Venturing enables youth to:

-Challenge themselves through fun and adventurous programming.

-Aquire new specialized skills based on their crew's area of specialty.

-Experience positive leadership from trained adult and youth leaders.

-Receive the opportunity to engage in new leadership roles.

-Learn positive life values through the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

-Give back to the community through meaningful service and volunteerism.

-Receive recognition for accomplishments through award opportunities.

The Venturing program is delivered through local Venturing crews throughout the French Creek Council, made up of youth members and their adut Advisors. These units meet regularly and plan activities and events based on the interests of the youth.
