Messengers of Peace

Scouts Around the Globe Are Creating World Peace

The Messengers of Peace initiative is designed to promote service around the world. Units can designate their service projects as being part of the Messengers of Peace program when submitting them to the Service Hours Website. Doing so helps qualify participants to wear the Messengers of Peace ring patch that goes around the World Crest emblem. We also recommend partnering with other Community Organizations for service. Projects must fit one of three dimensions of Peace:

  • Personal Dimension: Harmony, Justice, and Equality
  • Community Dimension: Peace as opposed to Hostility or Violence
  • Relationship to the Environment: Security, Social and Economic Welfare, and the Environment

Program details and Frequently Asked Questions can be found at the Messengers of Peace website.

Don't forget to log your service projects on the Service Hours Website. If you need help logging in, please contact the Registrar or Jared Magoon.

To order the Messengers of Peace ring patch for participants bring the certificate from the Service Hours Website to the Scout Store. Below is one of many promotional videos about the program.
