Outdoors
Explore the World!

Of the many activities in scouting, spending time outdoors provides a foundation for scouting's best lessons. Scouts learn how to enjoy, respect, and survive in the great outdoors. Most importantly, they will learn how to do all of these things safely. Skills are built up as a scout advances through the ranks, starting with the most basic safety techniques such as the buddy system, all the way to learning how to properly handle knives, fire and beyond. Advance scouts build skills such as first aid, wilderness survival, and high adventure camping. Outdoor lessons learned in the scouting program last a lifetime.
